CCHIT Certified® 2011 Ambulatory EHR
On December 16, 2009, Compulink’s Advantage/EHR version 10 achieved certification as a premarket conditionally CCHIT Certified® 2011 Ambulatory EHR in the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology’s (CCHIT®) Comprehensive certification program.
CCHIT Certified® certification designates that Compulink’s Advantage/EHR version 10 has been tested against the most comprehensive set of new and existing criteria related to items such as interoperability, privacy and security, and functionality. As a pre-market conditionally CCHIT Certified 2011 Ambulatory EHR, Advantage/EHR version 10 has passed inspection of 100 percent of these criteria.

HIPAA Readiness Statement
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) is a set of regulations developed by various different government agencies and members of the health industry. It’s designed to protect patient rights, and simplify the complicated web of communication systems used by the industry for passing information from one entity to another. HIPAA contains a set of standards to be used by all agents of the industry with regard to how the information is transferred and protected. There are three main provisions of this Act, which will affect Compulink’s software.

Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) accelerates the adoption of EHRs by improving the exchange of information among healthcare systems. Its goal is to improve the quality, efficiency and safety of clinical care by making relevant health information conveniently accessible to patients and authorized care providers. Compulink is a member of the IHE Eye Care Planning and Technical Committees.
